FOOD FOR THOUGHT- 31ST MAY, 2020.

DAILY NUGGET
Most people do not listen with the intent to understand, they listen with the intent to reply
– Stephen Covey
EAT-IN
Open minded people don’t care to be right, they care to understand. There’s never a right or wrong answer. Everything is about understanding. However understanding is deeper than knowledge. There are many people who know you, but there are very few who understand you.
On this platform we pledged to provide food for thought on daily basis. Of recent our attention has been called by some people to the food for thought edition of 19th May 2020 where we concluded that communication should be honest, open and two way. They said that the feedback and participation rate on the platform is too low which could be attributed to the daily bombardment of knowledge and inadequate response time.
In essence, we have been accused of knowledge overload which could lead to indigestion of the knowledge being shared. Knowing fully well that there is no wealth like knowledge and no poverty like ignorance; and when we prefer knowledge to wealth, while one is transitory, the other is perpetual, we have decided to reconsider our approach to avoid been reproached. Instead of freaking out about these constraints, we have decided to embrace them and let them guide us.
According to Simon Sinek,“Working hard for something we don’t care about is called stress, working hard for something we love is called passion’. Whatever looks like pressure on this platform in terms content is a pleasure to us at Premier Agribusiness Academy. But since it has been observed that due to the current workload on this platform on the part of some readers, the light at the end of the tunnel has become switched off. We understand that if we were supposed to talk more than listen, we would have been given two mouth and one ear.
That is why we are considering production of food for thought twice a week (Mondays and Thursdays) instead of daily production effective 1st June 2020
By so doing, it is believed that more participation would be encouraged on the platform.
TAKE AWAY
Work overload caused you to be stressed out, so prioritize your assignment according to the need. – Dr. Zaki Akhtar

The overload makes users less productive and more stressed, thus there’s a need for some solution. Passively ignoring the problem won’t work since bits are still heavy, even if we pretend not to notice
