The distance between your dreams and reality is discipline
– Raushan Kuman Raman
In order to make dreams come into reality, it takes an awful lot of determination, dedication, self- discipline and effort. The biggest challenge is to stay focused, it is to have the discipline when there are so many competing things. Disciplining yourself to do what you know is right and important although difficult, is the highroad to pride, self-esteem and personal satisfaction. Discipline is the bridge between goals and accomplishment. We must understand that our goals can only be achieved through the vehicle of a plan, there is no other route to success. With reference to excellence as a journey, discipline is the vehicle.
Discipline can be a useful tool for behavior modification, for re-socialization, for reorientation and for educational purposes in an organization. Watch your thoughts, for they become words. Watch your words, for they become actions. Watch your actions, for they become your habits. Watch your habits, for they become your character. And watch your character, it becomes your destiny. This is the ultimate; otherwise someone could become a destitute.
A disciplined workforce is important for effectiveness and organizational development. To be effective, that rules against indiscipline must be clearly stated to all employees and applied with consistency and fairness.
