When people are moved to management positions, the focus is no longer what they can achieve as individuals but what they can use a group of people to achieve. Every manager is accountable for the performance of the people under them. It is not good enough for a supervisor to want to do the job all by himself just because he thinks his staff are ineffective, this is wrong. Managers should understand that alone we can do so little, together we can do so much. Also it takes two flints to make a fire.
If as a manager you are finding it difficult to get people under you to work well try “Group Synergy (Task need, team needs and individual needs).” If you can successfully blend these three together, you will achieve high productivity in your staff.
