According to Milton Erickson, ‘the effectiveness of communication is not defined by the communication but by the response’. The need to effectively communicate with others as we move into the workforce is very important. Accessibility is not a feature, it’s a social trend. Managers spend three-quarter of their time communicating either in writing or orally. Therefore, the ability to communicate cannot be underestimated. For a manager to be successful, he should be able to speak the language of his employers in order to effectively perform his leadership roles as expected. Good communication in the workplace leads to job satisfaction, more productivity and fewer conflict. If a manager just communicates, he can get by. But if he communicates skillfully, he can work miracles.

It is considered that French and English are the two most important languages used for business relations around the world.  Knowledge of languages is the doorway to wisdom and to have another language is to possess a second soul. The benefit of being bilingual go beyond the ability to communicate in another language. Bilingualism gives even kids a broader perspective to the whole world. In fact a different language is a different vision of life.  A manager should endeavor to learn the two languages to be able to conduct commercial transactions around the world.
