DAILY NUGGET

Nobody can go back and start a new beginning, but anyone can start today and make a new ending.

EAT-IN

Organizational objective is a way of saying “we know what we want or where we are going”.  Objectives enable management to explain, predict, monitor, control and direct activities of the organizational components in line with achieving desired goals.

Setting objectives is imperative in achieving anticipated points or goals. The better you know where you are going, the more likely you are to get there. Employees are likely to be more effective if they understand and accept objectives set before them.

However employers should ensure that SMARTER (Specific, Measurable, Achievable, Relevant, Time- bound, Evaluated and Recognized / Rewarded) objectives are set. Failure comes only when we forget our ideals, objectives and principles.

TAKE-AWAY

You have to set goals that are almost out of reach. If you set a goal that is attainable without much work or thought, you are stuck with something below your true talent and potentials.
