Work is doing it. Discipline is doing it every day. Diligence is doing it well everyday

  • Dave Ramsey

Learning is not attained by chance, it must be sought for with ardor and diligence. While diligence is the beginning of brilliance, hard work and diligence are essential to success; but they require an internal motivation which is the vision.

The secret of success is putting your heart, mind, intellect and soul even to your smallest acts. This could be achieved by focusing on where you want to go and not where you are currently. There is no barrier to success which diligence cannot handle.

Just as lazy hands make a man poor, but diligent hands bring wealth; a sluggard’s appetite is never filled, but the desires of the diligent are fully satisfied.

We must choose one of the two pains: the pains of discipline or the pains of regret. Diligence is the mother of good fortune, and idleness, its opposite, never brought a man to his best wishes. Whatever we hope to do with ease, we must learn first to do with diligence because everything yields to diligence.

Diligence in our daily work to earn a living is the true expression of love and affection for ourselves, wives, children, brothers and countrymen. We should note that there is no elevator to success, all of us have to take the stairs; and that while the talented may fail, the diligent does not. In fact the key is not to prioritize what’s on our schedule, but to schedule our priorities.

Better is possible. It does not take genius. It takes diligence. It takes moral clarity. It takes ingenuity. And above all, it takes a willingness to try.
