EAT-IN
The importance of leadership in an organization cannot be overemphasized this is because, it is the only tool that can make human beings summit to authority. Those with good leadership qualities are able to easily get things done through people. Good leadership in an organization can achieve savings in organizational expenditure just as bad leadership leads to high budgetary allocation for accumulation of sophisticated equipment in order to make up for leadership deficiency.
The best leaders don’t know just one style of leadership – they’re skilled at several and have the flexibility to switch between styles as the circumstances dictate. Leaders should understand that they don’t get harmony when everybody sings the same note. In the same vein, they should be strategic and tactical because strategy without tactics is the slowest route to victory while tactics without strategy is the noise before defeat.
Worth mentioning is the fact that leaders should also understand that strategy and patience must align to have a successful leadership because strategy without patience can be caustic while patience without strategy can become anemic. Having both strategy and patience is a rare gift.
In order to achieve high productivity in organizations, resources should be committed to developing leadership skills in people. Leaders should also know that if they are persistent applying leadership skills at workplace, they will get it and if they are consistent, they will keep it.
